You can also use honey if you are facing the problem of night coughs. In many cases, honey is found to be more effective as compared to medical drugs.
You can make salt water by using salt and lukewarm water and try gargling to heal your sore throat. Doing this will help you break any secretions in the throat, and will help heal it faster.
Salt water can also help kill bacteria in your throat, thus stopping or at least slowing down the infection. If you have a sore throat, you should gargle with salt water every 2 to 3 hours. This will keep the pain and redness at bay.
